Get a Library Card
Pekin residents within the library tax district receive a card at no extra cost. Those outside the district may qualify by paying an annual non-resident fee that covers the entire household.
Apply Online for a Library Card
All children 0–18 living within the Pekin High School 303 district are eligible to receive a card, including home-schooled children. Apply online and bring your Photo ID to the front desk to finish your application.
Authorize Temporary Children's Card
Temporary cards are valid for 30 days. To continue access without interruption, complete and submit the renewal form before the expiration date to keep your child’s library privileges active and up to date.

Most addresses in Pekin and South Pekin already pay for their library card in the property tax bill – so there is no extra fee! All you need is a valid photo ID with your current address.
Place a Hold
A HOLD reserves an item when it’s checked out or located at another library.
To place a HOLD, visit the RSA Catalog and enter your card number and PIN, ask in person, or call 309-347-7111 (have your card number ready).

Visiting another area library? You can borrow items and return them here! You can also place holds on items from other libraries and have them delivered to you here (note: new items are not delivered).
These items can be returned to any participating library.

Renew Items
Log in to your account with your library card number and PIN. Select CHECKOUTS, then LIBRARY
CHECKOUTS to view your items.
Check the box next to the item(s) and select RENEW. Items in red are not renewable.
