‘Becoming Jane’ on the Big Screen

Join us for storytimes, workshops, author visits, and more. Fresh events added often—there’s something for every age and interest.

Join the "Jane Austen Renaissance" and watch the movie, 'Becoming Jane,' on the library's big screen. With the release of a new film adaptation, a new Netflix series in December, and Jane Austen's 250th anniversary, we're going back in time to the 2007 movie about a romance between the young, love-struck author Jane Austen and a penniless Irish lawyer, which serves as the creative inspiration for her work in this enchanting, speculative story starring Anne Hathaway ("The Devil Wears Prada"). Don't pay to stream this movie - come to the library and watch for free!
