Old Bones at the Powerton Canal

In the summer of 1964, a local fisherman happened upon a human skull on the bank of the Powerton plant outlet canal. The find led to further investigation that uncovered a nearly complete human skeleton, raising the question of whose remains they were and how they ended up at the canal. Pekin Public Library Local History Program Coordinator will tell of the mystery of the Powerton plant skeleton.
